The APEX series connectors are an excellent connector. If you already have a solid 2.8mm crimper it will likely work for their terminals as well. A great improvement over the MetriPack sets. Only wish there were 6.3 available for even higher power transfers.
This was a very handy tool to extract and change out my connectors (I've added lights and needed to add wires) but I bent it when one wouldn't come out easily and had to order another since it us a very thin tube. It's rolled metal and extremely thin so take care and don't get your angle off.

I actually prefer this to the DEUTSCH connectors, especially as there are more options in the number of ways. Also the amperage handling is better.
